A bit of History

Mill and dam at the beginning of the XXth century In 1840 a dam was built on St Georges on the Cher River. In 1876, Gaultier-Vaudion , a local miller already owner of the village's two mills, requested a building permit from the Ministry of Public Buildings. He wanted to build a mill on the left bank of the Cher River to take advantage of the falls from this dam.
In 1878, he received the agreement from the state and the chief engineer. The mill was finally working in 1883.
The mill had a 50 horsepower potential.
